The style is built on modern magazine typography and web brutalism. It captures the courage of the brutalism violation of classical typographic guides, sharp and sometimes dissonant images and forms. And still, it catches the line between visual aesthetics and tasteless disturbance of harmony and rules, a crucial principle for a media where the clarity and accessibility of information are more important than visual effects.
The project utilizes multiple font styles: grotesque, display fonts, gothic, antique. All these forms create an interesting non-standard rhythm with strong accents, paying tribute to brutalism with its harsh visual approach, bold decisions, and the rudeness of simple unprocessed forms. Swiss grid, at the same time, keeps readability, easy navigation and perception of information.
